Just wanted to mention that we have just returned from a trip To GA. to see kids and Grand kids. MH worked great without any problems. Averaging 7 to 7.5 mpg. Most expensive gas was leaving home in western PA at $2.69 and cheapest was a stop in SC on return trip at $1.99. Still at $2.59 here at home. Now we're cleaning it up and getting ready to winterize and cover. Yuk....John H....

Hi John...glad you had a good trip. I know what you mean about the clean up and winterizing.
We just returned from a trip to Indiana.
Also no problems and the MH ran great. 8 to 8.4mpg. But since mine is diesel, the prices ran from $3.89 down to $2.86, our last fill up yesterday in Pennsylvania.
Now are trying to decide whether to winterize now, or wait, as we are heading down to Lancaster, Pa. right after Thanksgiving for a few days.
Will watch the weather forcasts and decide.
In a way, its good to be back home, but do love traveling all over.
Since we just got our MotorHOme last year, we have to play catch-up. Put over 20,000 miles on it since last JUly, and took 16 trips so far.
We love or 2007 Damon Astoria.
So glad the gas prices have gone down a bit.
One question...is there any way to put a cover on without climbing up on a ladder and taking 2 people to do it? We have a cover but never used it.
Sue

Sue, My wife helped me cover Friday evening after work and only took about 45 minutes. Did use a step ladder to help get the cover up onto the roof, but I was alone on the roof spreading it out. It's not too tough if it was rolled up carefully when taken off. If it is new, then it shouldn't be too much trouble. Unfold it and let it drape down the side, but be very careful. The MH will rock alot. Friday was a beautiful day here with the sun out all day and it dried off the morning dew. Wanted to be sure and cover before it got nasty out and MH wouldn't be dry. We did have some rain Sat. and some minor snow overnight Sunday, so I'm glad we have it done.

If you are planning a trip Thanksgiving and the temps are not to get below freezing, then you may want to wait and winterize after your return. Good luck and have a nice Thanksgiving trip.

We both work and I wish we could do more trips with ours. We are at least trying to plan 2 trips next year. John H....
