In a recent discussion I talked about the two areas I just found on the exterior of my MH,asking if anyone knew what they might be.
"could it be rust" thread.

Well, I went to an Rv repair place yesterday and the guy said he's seen it alot and it appears that its the beginning of delamination.
He said that he could "stop it from any leak" by sealing the areas around the window where it is next to and by taking off the awning arm, resealing that area and replacing it. But as with any water damage, one is never sure where it actually comes from unless it is really looked into. This is only a 2007 model, and I really didn't want the bandaid approach.
So I came home and called Damon. Explained what seemed to be the problem, and that my warranty had just finished a month ago.
Vinny was very nice, as we had dealt with him on a previous problem, and said he would fix it under warranty for us. Explained how he would do it in detail. We are happy about that. Would much rather have the factory fix it than a repair shop where I might not have any recourse if the problem should happen again.
So its off to Elkhardt for us in Oct. Actually we will drop it off on the way back from our trip to Albuquerque NM Balloon Fiesta.

Sue, sorry to hear about the delamination, but glad to hear that Damon will take care of it. John H....
