Have had a few times when the odor of the black tank crept into the living compartment, not pleasant. Thinking of putting one of these on my black tank vent and was wondering if they really do what they say.

They do,especially when you are driving. But,if you have a blockage it wont do you much good.Sometimes the stack pipe sits to close to water level,or it gets blocked with paper.

Frankie's right,

We have one on our black tank vent stack, never had a problem w/odors. Have heard horror stories of vent stacks either crammed all the way into the holding tank or dangling above the tank, essientially disconnected.
