Slide out seals Intruder 350

I'm looking to replace my slide out seals on my 02 Intruder 350. The seal on our large slide out is a double bulb with sweeper and seems to be one piece that goes all the way around the slide out sides and top. However, when the slide is out, the sweeper portions of the seals make contact with the sides of the slide out, but are at least 2 inches away from touching the top, open or closed. In fact the seal sweep across the top appears to never touch the slide open or closed.

Is this normal? If so I can't imagine why that sweeper is there across the top. There is another, unrelated bulb type seal between the slide and the coach so water doesn't get in but I would think the sweeper should go across the top. Is it possible that it was replaced before with the wrong seal? Has anybody run across a unit where the sides and the top seals are different? Any information is appreciated!

Would really hate to do this job twice LOL

Figured it out...

Always listen to your other half. Turns out that our slide out is a flush floor model and actually rises up to enter the coach. THEN it makes contact with the upper sweep. the inner seal keeps out the weather while the slide is out!!!
