I have a 34' Challenger with an HWH brand 14' slideout. It's design has 2 rails with rollers and a single 2-way acting cylinder in the middle. The floor lowers when extended and raises when retracted. The first problem I have is when the floor extends, the outer corner of the floor towards the front does not come down all of the way and rest on the frame. It remains up around 5/8". The real problem though is when I retract the slide, it jerks and shutters like it is hung-up on something for the first 6-8" of inward travel. After that everything is normal. Could the floor getting hung-up on the left-side guide pins be causing both of my problems or do I have multiple problems? Also, where the cylinder attachs to slide frame, should the rod end nuts be tight or have some play between in and out? Any information greatly appreciated.

Hi Winston...well I see no else has answered...but plenty looked. So don't want you to feel ignored..and I do have a similar problem so thought I'd chime in.

We have a 2007 Astoria, purchased last July.
The LR slide worked perfectly in the beginning but about 2 months ago started with jerking movement about the last 6-8 inches extending it.
Also with bringing it in the last foot or so.
Sometimes it seemed more pronounced than others.
Just to add to it, when we were in a severe rainstorm last month, with driving rains, we developed a leak in the same slide out.

We do have an appt. with the Damon factory in June to have it repaired, as our warranty is up in July.

If you can't remedy the problem by then, maybe my problem is similar to yours and I'll have an answer for you.
Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.
Sue
