I just bought a 2010 SmartCar - Beauty - to carry in the garage of my 2010 Damon Outlaw - The Beast. I'm still getting the hardware set up to secure the car...e-tracks and tire webs. Has anyone any ideas of how to bend the e-tracks to accommodate the slope of the floor? Any hints of how to do this? All help appreciated!

I was wondering the same thing, in regards to the slope of the floor and how to attach the e tracks for our trike. The guy at service center, where we bought our Outlaw said to cut them. So I cut them with my jigsaw (blade for heavy metal cutting) and used a metal file to take any rough edges off. I also asked him about mounting the e tracks to the walls, as I've seen some neat storage ideas on the internet. He said he didn't recommend that. Does anyone know if the walls could support e tracks being mounted to the walls ? They are pretty heavy. Hope this info helps...

The slope is so slight that I'd put the E-track on a 2x4 at the point where you want to bend it, then just stand on it. Your weight will bend it just fine. Be careful that you don't go too far though.

As far as mounting track to the wall. The wall material is pretty thin but inside the wall there seems to be aluminum tubing as the structure. You can see it on the outside on a cold morning. Personally I'd go with the lighter L-Track as I had on my other toy hauler. Finding the inside wall structure to mount it to would be the trick

There's a guy on here that hauled a smart car in his outlaw.

I knew there was a good use for those cars. I would need one super sized toy hauler to haul my toy. Nice use of the space, nice looking car & MH.

What does the car weigh and, have you weighed the four corners with it in there yet?

I ask because I sometimes carry 1700 pounds worth of motorcycles in mine

The Smart weighs 1808 lbs (according to the mfg). Haven't weighed the Outlaw/car yet. The garage info notes that it is rated for 2500 lbs.

Thanks!

I'm going to weigh mine on my way out of town this December so I'll let you know what I find as far as the load per corner is concerned
