Solar Panel??

Hi All,
I would like to put a solar panel on my roof. What I need to know is how do you get the wires from the roof to the batteries? Thanks for all your help.

If your refrigerator roof vent is not in a slide you can come down that way. You can also use one of the sewer vents and drop the line beside the pipe. On my last coach the line came down into the ceiling through one of the roof air openings but that was a factory install.

I have 4 panels on my roof with the work done by Welcome to AM Solar_Your RV Solar Specialists since 1987. Wiring was run thru the refrigerator vent downward. Fuse panel is on the same side. I put a combo inverter/converter and breaker box in a side compartment. Inside the coach near the door entrance are the monitors. I have 4 AGM batteries on their sides in a side compartment and redirected the original coach batteries to the engine. Never a problem.

My solar wires are run down along side the sewer vent pipe.

On the Outlaw - I don't know about all Damon's - there is a second "vent" style cap on the roof up near the front cap. It's designed to run cables / wiring from the roof down into the front cap / overhead interior area (behind the cabinets). Along both sides of the cabinet is another space which allows access down the the deck level and from there you could (possibly) run lines to the battery area.

Just a thought.
