When I went away this past weekend, I had set up am appointment with Camping World to install the Steer Safe. I can say I noticed a little difference, but can anyone else out there that may have this tell me any more. I suppose it will prove itself when you really need it. Thanks for any info, John H....

If the coach was already fairly well behave, you will not see a lot of difference until you get on some rutted roads or in a cross wind. Then it is worth the cost.

Ken, I think your correct. When I was leaving their parking lot, I did notice the steering wheel center itself easier. It did handle pretty well before. I have a little more piece of mind now. I think it will be worth the price. Now if I could just get something to increase my gas mileage!!! Thanks, John....

Hi John,

My first trip with 40 mph gust cross winds was a nail biter. That happened to be the day I picked it up. I thought, what the #$%!$! did I buy! I couldn't relax anticipating the next swerve. It convinced me to research after market add ons. I asked a lot of questions on www.rv.net and had many recommendations on the Steer-Safe. Luck was with me when I found it on sale for less than $300 and I installed it myself in less than an hour.

The Daybreak box still handles more like a house than a car but if I had to guess on a percentage it helped wind gust and semi-passing sway.....I'd have to say 60% better. At least I can relax now and enjoy the scenery whipping around.

I believe towing my Element helped the back end track truer also.

Hope this instilled some confidence in your purchase. Tom

Tom, Thanks a lot. That does make me feel much better. Also after seeing the installation, I wish I would have installed it myself. Total bill was $454. It had been on sale once for $300, but has gone up since. Still worth the money for the better control. John....
