Front Cabinet Bottom

One of the other projects that we are working on right now is the front cabinet.
Here is the photo of the new front cabinet bottom without the cut-out for the old TV

We have now padded and recovered it. You can see more photos on the blog.

This stuff really works!

(Although it is not a neat clean-up)

You can see the finished project here.

Correction

OOPS... I took a picture of the wrong tube.

We DID NOT use the above item for the windshield.

We used 3M Windo-Weld

Winegard Sensar IV Antenna

We also updated the antenna to the Winegard Sensar IV HD antenna -

You can see that it also has the Wingman UHF enhancer on it.

I am very pleased with this upgrade! Tonight was the first time I had to check out how this antenna works at night. We could not receive one of our local channels after dark before this upgrade. I am now able to receive that same channel- and the antenna doesn't even have to be raised!
I am VERY HAPPY!!

We replaced the complete antenna unit. I should have posted a link to the blog - but here is a photo of the old antenna:

You can see the difference in the shape along with the "extra tail" or "third wing" that is on the new antenna in my last photo.

I hope this helps explain the differences.

Decorator Item

We have ordered the new kitchen countertop. We will also carry it onto the entertainment center cabinet top.

Here is a photo of the old countertop along with a sample of the new top.

You can see more on the blog.

That's gonna be REALLY nice!
What we ended-up doing was that kit from Lowe's where you sprinkle plastic bits over the counters then clear-coat it. It was the messiest thing we've done so far BUT it looks decent and low cost. We did kitchen, dinette and bathroom, bedroom pull-out shelf. We'd do it again.
