Wiring Between the Upper Cabinets

Has anyone ever thought about where the wiring is between the two upper cabinets on each side of the doorway?

..just remove your doorway valance.

Television Redo

We have started a project replacing the television in the front living area.
The Damon came with a 13" TV above the windshield

We have removed it and are in the middle of replacing it with a 55" LG TV.

We have put the television on a Nexus 21 TV lift. (This lift is so quiet & smooth - I am so glad we chose this brand!)

(You can see a bit more info on my blog here.)

Water Tank/Water Pump Relocation-Install

We had to move the water tank to a different location when we tore out the twin beds. We also decided this would be a good time to replace the water pump with a new one.

You will notice some brackets that are on the sides of the tank so that it is held in place.
You can also find a few more photos on the blog.

Simple & Fast

I noticed something today while I was straightening up...

...the accent trim behind the stovetop is just not my style...

...so I removed it!

SeeLevel!

We received the SeeLevel gauge system this week!

I am looking forward to this system being installed in the rig!

Water Heater Switch

The previous owners had an aftermarket electric water heater unit added to the old water heater. They added an unlabeled switch on the kitchen cabinet front (as seen below)

We did replace the hot water heater and rewired the switch...

...and you can see that the light that comes on when it doesn't light the hot water unit even works!

Hot Water Heater Replacement

I realized after my last post that I had never reported on the hot water heater replacement so here are two "before and after" pics.
You can see how rusted out the old unit is in the photo below.

It wasn't working so we decided we should go ahead and replace it instead of fighting for hours trying to get the old one working.
Here is what the new one looks like-

You can see a few more "in-between" photos on my blog.

Propane Tank "Clean-Up"

I did not get photos of this project before it got started -but we do have some after some pictures -

You can see the tank appeared to be in much better shape-even after the tank was cleaned!

"Command Central"

We deem to have a lot more electronic read-outs and controllers that come with many of the updated items we are installing on the new rig- so this is what are doing as we add new "Remote Controllers" -

An Unexpected Expense

We were a bit surprised to see the rating on the tow hitch...

It looks like we have found something else that needs to be replaced.

Bedroom TV Cable...

You can see how the previous owners had added a TV cable in the bedroom -

It is not quite what we would do, so it has been fixed-

..but you should really see the stuff that goes in between these two photos on my blog !

More Electrical

Today the electrical wiring from the generator to the new transfer switch was run.

I will make one note for anyone else who takes on a project like this- Check the breakers on the generator to make sure they are on if the system doesn't work the first time you try it!

Bedroom Cabinets in Progress!

Today I went by the cabinet shop that we have chosen- "Custom Cabinets By Design" to give them a deposit.

Michael (pictured below) owns & runs the shop and you can tell that he loves what he does.

(Trust me when I say that Michael is not at all what his shirt reads!)

I have some other photos on my blog but I promise to post more once they are built.
