What is everyones thought about tire rotation?
I have a 2007 Astoria that has about 22,000 miles on it. We checked with our local tire dealership today and RV repair place, and both said its not worth it. Since the backs are dual and they will wear differently that the front. I thought that was a reason TO get them rotated!

Since duals usually wear very evenly, the only reason I could see for moving a pair to the steer position would be if you had uneven wear on the fronts and had to get the front end realigned. Then move the steer tires to the rear as a pair and move the best looking pair from a dual position to the front. Get them balanced as part of the deal if they had not been balanced and save some of your hard earned money in the process.

I never rotate my tires... car or RV, this way I know where I have a problem, if I would find uneven wear.

Most RV owners do not drive enough miles to worry about trying to get the most mileage out of the tires; therefore rotation is not normally something they throw money at. They usually wear out by age and not tread depth.

I do rotate my tires at abought 20K miles. If there is a problem with suspention or alignment it will show up by then. I also do the work myself so it doesn't cost me any thing.

I agree with previous posts.
It's not cost effective to rotate tires, but you might want to move steer tires to the rear if you have uneven wear.

I do not rotate the coach tires. I monitor them closely and take care of problems as they occur. If I had a steer axle tire problem get by me, I would rotate them to the rear.

Have not rotated tires in 46k miles so far wear is about the same on all tires. I agree it is not cost effective.

I have the Super Singles on the rear of mine. There is no way to rotate the tires unless I just want to swap side to side. I don't see much point in that.

Back in 1980 I had a GM x body cart and never rotated the tires. When I traded it in about 5 years later It had about 80 thousand miles and the same back tires that were on it when I got it new.

I had 30,000 miles on my tires when I noticed the front passenger tire was cupping. Took the RV into the tire center to have it checked out, they said the tires needed rotation and balance. Nothing wrong with anything else. I have 11R x 22.5 Sumitomo, with Koni FSD shocks.
