I am in the process of changing from using a tow dolly to four down towing. My intruder does not have any type of rock / mud guard. Using the dolly the car would get dirty but not damaged. I will be towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Is installing some sort of guard needed? Appreciate your opinions.
Thanks, Harry

Harry, I have used the Roadmaster Guardian for several years and love it. Never had a ding on the Jeep. Check it out here:

I have no guard for my toad and have not had any damage.

One of the biggest problems is the full width solid mud flap which kicks up stones when it contacts the road while traveling.

I have raised my mud flap 2" to avoid road contact.

Since you don't have this mud flap, you should be OK.
