Tuscany in COLD Minnesota weather

My Tuscany 4074 is currently safely tucked away in a 65 degree shed in "Frostbite Falls" Minnesota. The temps here are wavering between -10 and 10 degrees with not much relief in sight. My rig is not winterized and we hope to head south sometime early next week. My question is how much do I have to worry about things freezing up, if I head out early, and plan on being somewhere near Kansas City by late afternoon? Last year we had freezing weather parked in Texas and had no problems, as long as we used the furnace which kept the basement warm. Going down the road, can I keep the furnace on to prevent freezing pipes? I plan on running my generator and will use a heater up front to keep us warm since the engine heater is marginal. I considered the possibility of using a small electric heater in the basement. Not sure how safe that would be.
Any ideas?

Hi
My Monaco Lapalma came with a small cube heater in the wet compartment. It was mounted up above the floor so it could not get wet.My Tuscany does not have this feature only heat to this compartment like yours.I keep my MH in a barn here [no.Cal.] but we only get freezing weather once in a while.

i added heat strips to the fresh and both waste tanks that come on at 42f
so far they havent been on this year.
i do use an old wool blanket to fill the space in the big plastic hole for the drain hose hook up. this stops alot of cold air migration .
I have a temp gauge in my wet bay and its keeping within 20 degrees of the big box upstairs using the heater alone. when it was 19 to 25 last week outside
going down the road might be different though with all that air flow under the coach

I would surely spend a day sealing up all the air leaks around the frame interface to the basement. just above the rear axle.......its tight but there are some huge holes not sealed up

We've used our coach in cold weather a lot (we now live in it).

While traveling you'll have to use the furnace to keep the coach warm and that will keep the wet bay warm.

When stopped I have a small ceramic heather that has a just above freezing (38 degree) setting and leave it in the wet bay with it closed up (no hoses hooked up and the screw opening closed up). Only hook up hoses to dump and fill water tank.

We use stand alone ceramic heaters inside when parked as well. If it get's really cold we'll turn on the furnance while we are awake then turn it off and use the ceramic heaters for the rest of the time. Keeps us plenty toasty warm.

Thing to remember is that the furnace will burn through a tank of propane very quickly. The first time we used just the furnace alone we went through the entire propane tank in one week. Learned the lesson pretty quickly about getting electric heaters.

We are still stuck in our shed! Every time we get ready to leave another big snow storm comes through, just as the roads are clearing up.
That small ceramic heater that has a low temp setting, could you tell me the brand and where to get one?
Thanks

Here is the brand name and model of the unit. It is small and fits nicely into the wet bay.

DeLonghi DFH132 Fan Heater

We got ours online a couple years ago. Must be good because they are still selling the same unit today....

And good luck getting out. One of the many reasons I live in Florida...
