My MH has a 50amp service but there have been many places where I was plugged into a 30amp service, using an adapter, and using both 13000 btu A/C's. I can't use anything else, no microwave, etc.

I had 2 roof airs on a 50 amp setup in my Safari. Staying at campgrounds with only 30 amp outlets was not a problem and I had no real problem running both A/C units at the same time. However, the two A/C s were the only things running. If your coach batteries need charging it won't work. If you use the microwave it won't work. If the DW has to use the hair dryer it won't work. I can run one TV with both air, and that's plenty when it's so very hot.
I, too, am a nut with the inductive ammeter.

Just got back from 2 days in Vegas. Hot enough for 2 A/C units. We got a thirty amp site. Did not run the MW except for the clock, Used gas for water heater and fridge. Make our coffee French Press style. Never turned the battery charger on... have solar so that was not needed. Did have the Satellite internet dish and modem and two laptops on shore power. Had no problems... except at the tables.
Had to drive to Vegas, about 225 miles from home for test run after changing plugs, coils, oil, and anti freeze in the ol V10 and putting on two new tires and rotating the rears, and adding new windshield wiper fluid. That's my story,... and I'm sticking to it!

My rig is 50 amp (Damon Intruder 377W) but I often park at 30 amp sites
The person who linked to POWER SOLUTIONS above
That's how I do it
Some rigs have EMS systems that will usually let both A/Cs work, just not at the same time (unless nothing else is drawing power, and I mean nothing, including the converter) some don't.
Looking at the Intelletec 30 amp ATS box I find that without an EMS the box will isolate the rear A/C if you are on shore power.. It gets power ONLY from the generator (Baring a "Front/Rear" switch)
Of course that's how the Power Solutions does it, it feeds that Generator line to the Rear A/C from a second, independent, 20 amp cord. Works great

looking at mine again today, i flipped off the 20 amp breaker on the gen, leaving the 30 amp on to see if it shut off the front or rear air. mine has the 2 switches in back to pick which a/c you want to run. with the 20 amp breaker off, you can still run either a/c one at a time. with both breakers on you can run both a/cs on the gen. looking at the wiring coming out of the rear switches, they are connected to each other and to both the 20 and 30 amp gen breakers. looks like i may just have to isolate the rear a/c wiring with a seperate cord. need to figure out how to wire a 20 amp breaker into the cord so i dont fry something. any suggestions?

Once again the solution is Power Solutions Just look at this device it is designed for exactly what you wish to do, That is it's function.
No need to re-invent it at all, Just order one
Or, if you have the skill, home brew as I did
