Water heater pop off valve

Thanks Neil for the suggestion on expansion tank. That was going to be my next move but being the hard head I am I decided to go at this one more time. I pulled the valve and again blew it out with air and lubed - let it set for an hour or so and blew out any excess oil. When I reinstalled it it worked perfect. So I decided to do the same thing with my spare valve and it worked perfect also. Both ov these valves are only 2-3 weeks old to me. So I guess when we buy something we just figure that it is not quite right. Trash in it or needed lube - whichever they both work like they are supposed to. So I guess for now I am "cooking with grease" as we say down here.
