WONDERING ALOUD:
Can we get interest in a DAMON CLASS A RALLY ?
I have a couple locations in mind in or near Minden or Reno, Nevada.
Of course its a Casino RV Park with lots to do. Or just meet & greet, rest and relax which can include Miniature Golf, Outdoor Pool, Bike Trail to Downtown, Quaint Antique Shops, Even Historic Virginia City has an RV Park useable.
Once I had the number of rigs, I can reserve spaces with each rig calling in to make their own reservations all of which will be parked side-Rep for a Rally seminar.
Any RV owner wanting to also make a short 1/2 presentation of their modifications or experience will also be welcome to speak. Indoor room for one day.
Rally Days Arv-Sunday , Lv-Thursday.

You got my interest and vote. Suggest you check with Chamber of Commerce and RV Parks to see what facility can house the most RVs and allow vendors. If it is doable, then ask for volunteers and establish some committees to help pull it off.

Can you be a speaker of some sorts ?
I will keep a running list of those Damons interested.
Wife and I did this 2 years ago for then Class C Rialta RRR - Reno Rialta Rally;
Held it at GrandSierraResort RV Park where we had 26 sign up & 22 Class C's attend for the 5 days. many Owners spoke about their adventures and modification along with a couple videos. We also had freebies donated by local rv dealer who also spoke and gave winterizing tips etc.
I have 3 Rally locations to choose from. that can provide all you suggested.
Ive also located a Freightliner Person locally who can speak to the group.

I have a ( 3 ) locations in mind in or near Carson City, Minden or Reno, Nevada. But need a minimum of maybe a dozen to say OK !
Of course its a Casino RV Park with lots to do plus just meet & greet, rest and relax which can include Miniature Golf, Outdoor Pool, Bike Trail to Downtown, Quaint Antique Shops, Even Historic Virginia City has an RV Park useable.And Lake tahoe only 30 minutes down the road.

You are #3 ..... I agree Early Fall ....... Likely End of September.
Looks like September 27 to October 1 may work, see Reno Events below.
With so many Events the RV Parks Big Enough for Class A Groups fill a year in advance. So likely we will need to book after last event.
Ill do some research as to possibly Sept 27 to Oct 1 ?
This is one we used 3 years ago for Rally and had 22 Class C attend RV Park - Grand Sierra Resort
But have 2 others similar to select from based on availability.

RENO RV RALLY
Two months ago 3/28 we asked if anyone would be interested in a western rally.
Only 2 have showed being interested in Reno, Nevada.
Likely also to us, due to no date have been given.
Appears to wife there is no real interest in THE IDEA

Plus RV Parks here at least want to have "US" pay for X Spaces before they make any space's available.
And no refund for those not paid for.

Soooooo....Ill cancel the idea for now until we get a RV Park a bit more flexible as to payment.

Do you live in the Reno area? We are in CA near the central coast. We travel through the Reno area about once a year, as we travel east or west. It's always nice to meet other Astoria owners in person to share knowledge and modification info.

Got your message and sent a return, but was stopped by IRV2 Admin as using a wrong reply method.
If and when you decide to drive thru Reno again.
Give us a couple days notice.
We are a couple miles from Cabelas & Boomtown Casino and would enjoy meeting for lunch and Damon Stuff.

If ever the idea of and Astoria owners Rally surfaces again we could be interested. We're in BC so Reno isn't all that far away. Vegas is always a good spot as many northerners come through sin city in the fall en route to elsewhere.
