The installation of a Satellite dish is not as difficult as most dealers make it seem. In fact they are quite simple. I'm sure you have been to the Winegard web site, if not here is the link to the installation manual:

Your Daybreak "should" have been pre-wired with at least one coax thru the roof. Have you attempted to locate it? They usually place them directly above the in-house selector switch (also probably a Winegard product). You may have to look from behind the selector switch to determine if Damon ran a Coax toward the ceiling. If not, you may have to. The selector switch should have an input for the Satellite feed. That coax then goes direct to the roof unit. Most of the new dishes allow for two cables to be connected to the unit. This provides the ability to use two receivers. One at each TV (that is if you have only two TVs) However, they selector switch only accepts one. The selector switch then allows you to send that signal to the appropriate TV. The next dilemma is do you wish to watch different channels on separate TV's at the same time? If so, you may wish to add a multi-switch. This will allow you to send the single coax signal to multiple receivers, thus eliminating the need for the two coax cables from the roof unit. This may be sounding to complex, however I'm sure to your son it is daily routine. As far as the location to mount on the roof, just use good sound judgment. It needs to have ample room to raise, lower and rotate (as explained in the installation manual) It also should not be to close to other utilities on your roof, i.e A/C units roof vents, etc. Most are located near the Coax entry point which tends to be in the center section of the roof. No matter where you locate it, it will always seems like it is in the wrong position when you are parked in an RV park with a lot of trees

This product is excellent for using on the roof as sealant around the screws that you use to mount to the roof:
Dicor - The Components RVs are Born With It comes in a tube that fits into an ordinary caulking gun. Use stainless screws if possible.
I hope this has been some help, feel free to ask more questions if needed.
