mlp911, Although it is possible for the problem to originate at the wiper switch on your steering column, I would recommend that you find your wiper motor and remove and reseat the modular plug on the motor several times to try and clean off the contacts. next would be to make absolutely sure that the ground from the motor to the frame is reliable. Find a 12 volt power point and poke it with your test light, next would be to take the other side of the test light (the alligator clip side) and touch the body of the wiper motor. IF the motor is grounded the lamp should come on. I would try this first before I did anything else. You can also spray the contacts with an electronic cleaner.

ok, i checked and there wasnt a good ground. i ran an extra ground to the wiper motor but that didnt correct the problem. also checked plug to motor and seems fine. i looked under the steering column and found the wires coming from the wiper switch, there is a circuit board plugged inline with the connector. ive worked on cars for years and have never seen one of these. part #15598496. i removed the board and plugged the harness directly together and the wipers work better, still no intermidiate wipers but there seems to be two speeds and the wipers turn off when you turn them off, lol. any suggestions?
