YOUR Outlaw Feature List

I have quickly learned that there's an almost infinite number of upgrades, tweaks, mods, and enhancements one can do to their RV. As I close in on my pickup date, my Outlaw's spec sheet has grown quite a bit and I already feel like this is MY Outlaw.

If you had to list everything you've done to make your Outlaw YOUR Outlaw (say, for an RV Trader ad, or just to brag!) what would your Outlaw feature list look like?

LOL...I had to start a thread to list it all.
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f121/outl...es-149108.html

Plus, I can steal ideas from others there too.

You're right, basically infinite possibilities. It's all in what you want or what your wallet can afford.

My favorite mod is the wall behind the dinette with a new 40" TV with new HDMI feed (now standard on the 37LS) and remote control electric fireplace

Best luck

Great list!

What do you do with the xtend-a-room when traveling...remove and stow or fold it up into the door way?
We decided to fold it up into the doorway, but it took several tries to figure out how to do that.

To make the ramp stay horizontal, did you add cables or are you using the Xtend-a-room legs?

Safe travels

We don't do ANYTHING with it yet... haven't picked it up! But I like the idea of keeping it installed and folded up into the doorway.

The previous owner modded the ramp to use a strong chain to support the patio. It gets hooked onto the top of the ramp locking arms (the posts that swing inward to lock the ramp in the upright position - I'm sure there's a trucking name for that!)

Oh, that's Lisa BTW!

Exciting time! Best luck with the delivery. Say hey to Lisa for us...tell her she's now an Outlaw celebrity (seen by hundreds on iRV2!)

Is that a full doorway pull-down screen on the garage door...didn't see that on the list. If so - NICE - and BTW, expensive.

So, just FYI...the Xtend-a-room is pretty great. But the set-up instructions leave a lot to be desired.
I believe it is one of those "lost in translation" things and the graphics are poor at best.

We will be doing an over view on it for the Mods and Fixes thread in the future when attempting to improve on the design...to make it easier to deploy/recover.

Safe travels

That IS the full doorway pulldown screen. I figured it was standard OEM so didn't include it. Nice to know my Outlaw's value just went up a touch!

Lisa's not much for fame, though she's been on 'The Aviators' when she flew along with the USAF Thunderbirds. Despite that, she sure can ham it up with the best of us, can't she?

Confirming...that screen wall was never offered from the factory (should be IMHO) and is even more expensive due to the extra tall door in the Outlaw.

The only other Class A toy hauler currently made (Newmar Canyon Star) has a screen wall, but just like most toy haulers has a much shorter doorway.

We did not acquire one becase the ri$k of screen damage from our doggies...the Xtend-a-room is less risk.

Possible TV mod

Hi guys. I have a question about the TV by the dinette. Since it is not viewable when the slide is in, I think a great mod would be to create a swinging mount so that the kids could watch tv while the slide is in and driving down the road.

Thoughts?

To Boingmotors.

Yes, that is a great idea...and is exactly what we did and is now a standard feature on the 37LS (sliding mount).
It has been done by several owners here...
See ours at:

And
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f121/outl...ml#post1496354

This set-up is common to many RV's and not just an Outlaw thing...but the new 37LS does it well right from the factory.

If you're a new Outlaw owner here...you might enjoy: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f120/i-lo...aw-102560.html

Thanks

Great ideas. I wonder if it's better and easy just to put one above the entry door. Is it easy to run wires in the ceiling? I guess you need power and hdmi somehow.
