12 volt power outlets

Hi All,
Our RV is a 2017 Thor, Aria. We have 3 - 12 volt outlets up front in our motor home. I use them for navigation and charging. All my devices work in the car but, even though, the outlets say they have power when tested, the devices won’t charge. Any ideas.
Frustrated.

I assume you put a test light on the center piece inside the 12 volt outlet and the ground on the body of the outlet. If that's how you determined that there's 12 volt power from the female outlet then try pushing the male end of the power cord into the outlet and holding it with your hand. If you device charges then you may have a batch of poor quality 12 volt outlets. They're available form most auto parts stores and easy to replace. You'll have to get to the back side of the outlet and the outer cover unscrews from the inner socket (make sure you remove the plus and minus wires and tape them to prevent shorting the wires.

We went through the fuses and found a blown fuse which fixed our issue. We still don’t understand why it showed power when tested. GPS works now. All set to travel.
