Just bought my first RV (used 1997 Thor Hurricane with the Ford 460 gas motor) Im in serious need of the owners manual as I have no Idea where to begin. Is there a downloadable version of it and if not where can I get 1?

Welcome to irv2!

I don't think you are going to be able to find an owners manual that old. Typically the manual packet consisted of the chassis owners manual and various appliance manuals. Most manufactures did not have a manual that explained everything in one book.
If you list your questions here, I am sure many will be able to help you.

I fould a 2008 Hurricane manual (PDF) at the Thor industries web site. I was looking for one for my 2000 30Q but they don't go back that far. A good bit of the stuff they have in the manual still applied to my 2000 and may even help you with your '97. Document Archive | Thor Motor Coach Motorhomes - Class A Class B+ Class C Motorized RVs

I emailed Thor from their webpage and was sent an owners manual in PDF form for my 98 Hurricane.

Hi Disturbed and

Your coach originally came with several manuals since it is a conglamulation of many different systems. The Ford chassis, generator, A/C, fridge, furnace water heater, stove, microwave, water pump and a handful of minor applicances.

Look in the cupboards for a "buildsheet" that lists all the stuff Thor originally put into the coach. You can download the manuals for many items like the A/C, generator and fridge by going to that manufacturer's web site (not Thor's).

The Ford chassis Owner's Manual can be retreived from:
http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...&menuIndex1=17

Double check the manufacture year of the chassis itself. Even though the coach is a 1997, it would not be unusual for the chassis to be a 1996.
