Thinking about giving up our 2000 Newmar Kountry Star and buying a 2005 Four Winds Presidio 39C. Just looking for some advice and see if anyone owns one how they like it. Looking for more room and something newer to use in the winter during retirement.

Sandie

Hey we have an 08 presidio 39 G and love it, ours is powered by cummins with the ISL 400. Plenty of power and great ride. We spend 9 months of the year in ours and have put 20k miles on in two years with just a few minor issues common to all motor homes. Lot's of coach for the money in my estimation. Good luck hope it works out for you.

Unless Four Winds (Thor) builds the 39C differently than the rest of the line, I would see a step down from the Newmar. Look it over carefully and see if it is built as well as your Newmar or is it a lot of glizt and fluff.

Thanks Ken - I think we will try to physically look at the Thor before we decide. Also going to look at a few others - Fleetwood Revolution for one. We are not in a hurry so that is a good thing. We have a few years left before full retirement but would like to get out of northern Michigan for a few months during the winter months. The Star will work for a while
