How do you get that slide back in when something fails? This slide tilts to about 40 deg when moving. It sits above the floor when in and almost level with the floor when out.

I called HWH, they told me that they provide the rams, hydraulic stuff but the manufacturer provided the actual slide mechanism. This is bad news.

Four Winds is working on finding me the info but I am not holding my breath.

Nothing in the book nor do I have any form of winch. The way this tilts, I seriously doubt it could be pushed back in without a forklift or something else to lift it.

I am also curious about maintenance procedures for this. There has to be some rollers or some other friction item as the tilt on this is amazing.

Not sure this link will help but give it a try.
There is more HWH info in the Quick Tips Link.

No, it didn't help. 4Winds did not incorporate realistic procedures to manually retract this slideout. It tilts, thus you actually need lift it a bit before you can move it in. There is no winch, no winch points, nothing. Bad engineering. They are working on helping me find a solution.

Hi Pirate,

Do you not have a manual pump for this problem? I have a 2000 33SL Windsport and there is a manual pump for slide problems in the compartment next to the slide room! I am not a tech type of guy, nor have I ever had to use it so I can't realy say if it works or not,LOL!! Hope you get your problem worked out soon, let us all know the answer!

No manual pump. This slideout tilts at a radical angle to get above the floor when coming in and to get at floor level when going out.

4Winds says to just open the HWH valve and push in. In reality, you would be pushing this slideout up and in.

I'm guessing it would take a big bunch of guys to lift that slideout and push in at the same time.

No winch, no winch tie points.

I'm not even sure it is supposed to move at that angle.
