I've lost power to the two outlets in the rear(one on either side of the master bed) and the outlet under the middle TV on the bathroom wall. I've checked all the breakers and fuses and can't figure this one out. It'll be a week or so before I can get it to the dealership for repair and I'm looking for any suggestions. I also looked at the few wires that are zip tied in the drivers side rear tire well and they don't seem to have any defects. Am I missing something?

Hi,

I would also check for a broken or loose wire in the breaker box. Happened to me.

Frankie: ...not on a GFCI loop, and I've reset the breakers properly. Thanks for the ideas though, if you got others, keep throwing them at me!

Eddie: I'll try to dig into the bed and expose the back of the box and check that out. Thanks to you also.

Had a similar problem with mine while out on the road. traced it back to a loose wire on the GFI outlet. It took a fairly large load to cause it break the connection orginially.

I have never trusted the electrical outlets commonly used in rvs. If you have ever taken one apart and seen how the wires are connected then you may agree with me too. I think that they are a big potential problem when used with a high load current like a heater or hair dryer. I have replaced several of my outlets with standard home type outlets with reliable screw type wire terminals. My previous rig had an outlet meltdown due to bad connections in the cheap rv outlet. Hey guys, sorry it's been awhile for an update. I took the coach to the dealer to check out the problem. It turns out, there were 8 (EIGHT!) Neg wires loose on the back of the breaker panel. All of the 8 wires showed signs of burn or excessive heat from shorting out! Everyone should check the back of thier panels and make sure the wires are tight just to be sure. Luckily nothing was damaged other then the wire ends and everything was repaired. I'm glad I took it in when I did and didn't put it off any longer. From now on, I'll be tackling issues as they occur and not when "I get around to it"! Once again, sorry for the lengthy time for the update, it was repaired in mid February. Thanks for all the suggestions also.

that is great news. Now get out there and have a Happy Camping time drive south and get away from all that cold and snow. On one of my post in the convertor box underneath the breakers by the bed I found a lose nut for the wire and I just made sure all were good and tie . Must be the hard suspension from the rear axle springs making these nuts to come lose?

George - I'm actually heading out on the next trip Thursday morning!! Going to Bristol, TN for the NASCAR race. Will be there till Monday and can't wait!!!

Frankie - My thoughts exactly!! I did a complete check of all wiring, piping, and finish work after that. Didn't find anything that stood out, hope nothing is hiding waiting to rear it's ugly head!!
