Hi,
Peter and I are going to look at this model from a private seller. I can't seem to locate any information/rating/review to help in our research. Does anyone have any info or suggestions? Thank you,
Cathy and Peter

Apparently not a big seller - I've only seen one on the eastern US and we travel several months every year.
I understand they use the Ford 22,000 lb chassis, so that much becomes a known factor (engine, transmission, reliability, etc).
Four Winds is part of Thor, so has a strong company behind (good news these days!). They are better known for their Class C's than their Class A's, though.

Cathy & Peter welcome to irv2.
The model #36w I can not find this is the best I came up with Magellan its your same year give it a try.
In NEW RIG SHOW OFF Forum above there is a PDI list for Motor Homes that will help you find what to look for with a new or used MH.
Good luck in your quest give us a look when you get it.

Hi RVRoamer and 007!
Thanks kindly for both replies! The Magellan was sold, so that took care of that! We had too many questions with respect to it anyway.
Peter has moho'd before, but it is a new and exciting experience for me. We are from CT but rented in FL this winter. Seems to be a huge inventory out there. If you can give us any tips as to where/how to look for the best bang for our bucks we would welcome any advice.
We are thinking of taking a look at LazyDays. Anyone know anything about that?
Cathy

Lazy Days has a tremendous selection of new and used RVs - more than most RV shows ever display. Usually an inventory of 1000-1300 RVs at any one time. I've bought two coaches there and think it is a great place to buy. Others may have a different opinion.
The sales guy I use, Brent Harmon, is a super guy with absolutely no pressure on the customer. If you want to just look, he is fine with that.
Contact me offline if you want to ask more about Lazy Days. I don't want to make this thread a Lazy Days sales pitch.

Hi Gary,
We welcome your opinion. We have visited at LDs and were impressed by the entire setup. We are still on the fence (for a number of reasons) deciding whether to purchase in FL or wait till we return to CT sometime in April (probably the wisest of the two, but we've got the bug to get moving on this so we have a coach for summer in New England). It's a big investment so we are trying to cool our jets and take it slow. If you would like to chat with my husband, Peter, (more technical than I can be) feel free to email him at wolffpm2@sbcglobal.net. I'm hoping to get him onto iRV2 very soon. I'm impressed.
Many thanks,
Cathy

I have a 08 Magellan 36R that was purchased in Dec and I am trading it in next week for the Damon Tuscany. It was my first purchase and made a little hastily. It is a great MH and like the floor plan but my problem is that I am 6'3 and the slide out, when closed for travel hits the back of the drivers seat about 3/4 of the way in. Therefore I cannot adjust the seat to a comfortable position. Did not really bother me until I got behind the wheel for 3-6 hours. Just couldn't take it. Other than that I beleive they are great MH's and a good value for the money with many options. Only thing I added to mine was the IN-MOTION satellite. Would have preferred to sell out right but timing for me is an issues as well. Good luck with your purchase.

Robiniko that is the problem that I have. We looked at several brands and just figured that was the price I paid for being tall. Since we have 2 dogs that requires stopping every so often anyway so no big deal sure wish i had known about one the slide didn't interfere with the chair not to mention getting in and out of it when we stop

Picked up the Tuscany yesterday and road tripping this weekend. So far, I LOVE IT. Comfortable as can be. Plenty of room and adjustment to the drivers seat. AWESOME!
