2014 Hurricane 34E owners

Picked up my Hurricane 34E on 6/13 and noticed there is no strike plate catch for the screen door. There is just a flat plastic plate screwed on the jam where the catch should be ?

Also, there is no way to secure the entry door when it is open. There is no catch anywhere to hook it in the open position. The way she is set up, the exterior door is either open swinging free or in the closed position.

Are other Hurricane 34E made this way or do you all have a catch of some kind to latch the exterior door open and pull the screen door closed but it does not latch ????

First time I have seen this.

I have a 2014 Hurricane 34F. The flat plastic plate is the catch for the screen door. If everything is adjusted properly it should be enough. The screw holes are elongated so that it can be adjusted if necessary.

Also, on the entry door, ours has a gas strut at the very bottom of the door that holds it open. I seem to recall when we were looking at it that the 34E door was setup the same way.

When I bought my Hurricane 32A, it didn't have the "hanger" to secure the door in the open position. When I looked at a dealer picture of my 32A's twin, I noticed that it did have the hanger. So I mentioned this to the dealer, who contacted Thor, and got the approval to install the "missing" hanger.
