Red face 2014 Thor 30.1 TV Cabinet stuck shut

We just picked up our new 30.1 and planned on spending a week in it in Pacifica, CA to enjoy the outdoors.....and watch the superbowl....we have run into challenges with our tv....

Problem: we couldn't get the cable TV to work--so I decided to try Chromecast and mirror TV to it. But, the Chromecast w/its plug wouldn't fit in due to the frame around the TV that creates the TV cabinet. In fiddling w/different plugs, we closed the cabinet and one of the plugs (a think USB cord) was hanging out from under the cabinet. Now, we can't get the latch on the cabinet to release so we can open it.

First question--does anyone know how to get the metal frame holding the TV latch to release??? It was tight anyway and we don't know if the cord that is hanging down (on the left side of the frame--not by the latch) to have caused the problem.

Second question--we got the cable attached--but get a really fuzzy signal. Any suggestions?

Other than these two issues, we are very very pleased as first time owners of a MH! The floor plan with the sleeping area above the driver seats is great for our grandkids!

Thanks.

When using cable TV you need to turn off the Antenna Amplifier. Not sure where it's located on the 30.1, mine is located near the HDMI cable where you would hook up a DVD player. It has a little red light on it when its on.

Yep, in the 30.1, it's in the cabinet right behind the TV in the rear left corner above the outlets. There's a little black button that turns on the amp on and off.

The fuzzy signal could just be a loose cable connection. Try to tighten all of the connections. Wiggle them, see if the picture clears up.

I have also seen fuzzy cable TV reception due to defective wiring in some campgrounds. It might be useful to ask a neighbor if their reception is OK.

Our outside tv was fuzzy, the dealer found the coax was damaged, once it was replaced it now works fine, it should have been caught at the factory, but not a big deal since the ones inside worked.
