2015 Thor Chateau 31W slide out issue!!!

We own a Thor 31W and the slide out drive and gears broke on the full wall slide.
We took it to the dealership where we purchased it to get it repaired..
Neither Thor or LCI the company that make the drive can seem to get the replacement parts due to a missing sticker on the drive unit. (According to the dealership) they tell us they emailed a Rep. at Thor a few days ago and still no response... Of course there customer service is closed this evening. This has been going on for 5 or 6 weeks now!!!
1. Has anyone else had this issue?
2. How did. You get it resolved?

May not help much since I don't have the same RV, I do own a Thor tho.

Call the 800 number for warranty support and speak to a tech, they will ask you for the last 8 digits of your VIN. That info should allow them to tell you anything you need about your coach.

My experience with repair centers is not a positive one. The folks at Thor Warranty have been very helpful tho and are very willing to help if they can.

Good luck

What dealership are you stuck going to for repairs?

On mine, the dealership caused as many problems as they fixed.

Mine spent 172 days in the shop during our first 11 months of ownership.

That is crazy, the amount of time it has taken to resolve the issue, I cannot believe that they are "manufacturing" the parts, machining one gear at a time for such a high volume piece is unheard of, unless you took it personally to a local machine shop to have a "one off",manufactured. Keep us up to date on the progress. Good luck

The replacement parts they used on mine did not look handmade. The parts they took off did, though.

UPDATE!!! The dealership called yesterday and said the RV was fixed and ready to go!!!😃😃😃

But wait!... We went to pick it up this evening and there was work that wasn't done and now the plastic frame around the window in the coach door was warped and standing off the door about 3/8"!!! So guess where the Motorhome is????

Yep still at the dealership!!!' I looked it up and it has been there since May 20th!!!!😡😡😡
