Ace 2013 29.2 paint falling off

We have a Ace 29.2 that had been fixed once for the paint falling off the top trim the paint did not hold and is now falling off not only where it was fixed but the rest of the top trim piece. Thor says its not their problem because its out of warranty. The paint shop that thor had do the painting said the trim is a unpaintable trim. The rep at thor said I will have to pay to have it fixed my self. I don't think that is right! My next motorhome will not be made by Thor. Also the paint shop said they would do the repair for 500 dollars but I would have take it to Indiana I live in PA.

At least you're not in AK, or CA.

A good local autobody paint shop familiar with painting fiberglass can figure it out.

I have owned fiberglass boats, three corvettes, a Pontiac Fiero, and two Saturn vehicles. All needed to be painted at one time or another. And ALL are virtually "unpaintable" by those that do not know how to do it correctly. They cannot use their normal processes, solvents, strippers, etc...

It's going to require complete removal of the existing finish layers and priming.
