ACE 29.1 slide-out frame twist ...

I have a new ACE 29.1.
Just got back from first over-nighter. Only 300+ miles round trip.
Had a great time and no real problems. Weighed ACE on way out at a commercial scale. With me ( 240# ) , DW ( 135 # ) , DD - dear dog ( 100 # ) , 3/4 tank gas, 3/4 tank fresh, MT grey & black, clothes, food etc. we came in at 15,080 lbs. total. Thought it would be higher.

One thing I noticed or rather the wife noticed was that after leveling ( we have the auto-leveling jacks ) there was a slight tilt in the middle of the coach down towards the slide-out side. I had a 32" level with me and the front and rear were level but there was a small but noticeable tilt in the center of the coach. In other words the coach frame was slightly twisted as if the weight of the slide-out once it was extended was pulling / twisting the coach down in that direction. Does any one know if this is normal for a slide-out when it is extended?

Greetings! We camped (ha) in 4 different locations and used 2x8 wood blocks in 2 of the 4 sites. I used a 4 ft. level and only 1 location had the bubble slightly outside center. I would guess that perhaps one of your levelers placed unnecessary pressure causing your twist. I did have my level both directions at the location of slide and no twist issue. I will however look more closely at this next time out. Perhaps someone with experience with levelers will have some difinitive input. What type levelers do you have?

I have the Thor ACE stock option leveling system which is the ' Lippert Electronic Leveling System '.

After we pulled into our already level space which was packed gravel on dry dirt ( it hasn't rained here in several months ) I used the auto feature on our ' Lippert Electronic Leveling System ' to fine tune level the motor home. After that I extended the slide-out. That was about noon.

Later that night my wife brought the situation to my attention I got my level out and checked around.

First , I checked the floor in front of the stove for level .. it was off.

I checked the front drivers floor just aft of the ' dog house ' and also the bed frame above the area between the front seats ... both readings level.
I then went to the rear bedroom and checked the floor and the cabinet shelf over the bed .. both readings level.
Went back to the kitchen area and read the floor across wise again .. the level bubble was noticeably off level.
The tilt was down in the direction of the slide-out side of the motor home.

The floor that you walk on was twisted in that direction.

I hope this clears it up.

I feel it is the weight of the slide-out that is causing the twist in the floor frame.
