Another option is cut the hole and put that piece in a metal picture frame as the edge with some plywood backer...

Just saying as thats your source for the door. Any local woodworkers can cut a straight edge and band it to hide the bare edge.

Sounds like a plan! Fortunately I saved the factory panels from the bed when installing the new deck for the lift arms.

Thanks for the idea.

Another good idea!

I'll let you know how it works out. I guess I'm committed to doing this now after all your suggestions. Soooo...., just one more last, last, last mod to go.

Washer Dryer upgrade

Washer Dryer installed and running. Tight fit with only 1/8" on each side coming through the door! This is an edgestar unit from Amazon $859 ventless. On the quick cycle it says it takes 36 minutes but it actually to an hour, has some kind of sensor in it that determines the final time, took 7.5 gallons of water to wash, put on the drying cycle, it came up automatically for 1:47 to dry. I stopped it at one hour and took the towels out and while they feel damp once they cool down you will realize they are actually pretty dry. Drying uses water also for pulling moisture out of the clothes, that took another 2.5 gallons. So a total of 10 gallons of water. Pretty quiet but obviously when it is in spin cycle you notice it.

Not sure if you guys got the recall on the fire extinguisher or not but they will mail one to you. I took the bracket off the original plastic enclosure and mounted this back by the bed and put a regular 5 lb extinguisher by the door. Interesting thing I noticed is if you take the plastic holder out of the cabinet on the bottom you can use that for storage, I am going to make a hinged door.

Also a snapshot of the tee connection for the Catalytic heater hose.

I received my replacement fire extinguisher last week. Still waiting for my shower curtain. Kidde does a much better job than Camping World.

After changing out the kitchen sink I noticed that the cabinet bottom was scratched in several places and the face frome finish was bubbling up as if it had gotten wet. Covered the sink cabinet bottom with peel and stick tile, used silicone to attach it.

Thought I would repost this from another thread. Seems to identify the head light assembly for some of the Ace coaches.

Finished the under bench drawer install. Got the stain too dark, used a one step stain/polyurethane I had. I chickened out and bought a pre made drawer front.

Headed out later this week to New Orleans, will see how it works out. The construction manager (DW) likes it so far.

5" square tube storage

I added a 5" square storage tube in one of the bays, the second bay back on the drivers side. I removed the board on the top left side and saw a lot of wasted space that could be used. For what?? Heck, I dont know but at least it will be available. only took 1/2 hour to do. I bought a 5" square vinyl post 8' cost $25 at Home depot plus 2 endcaps at $3.67 each. I cut the tube 52" long. Glued one end on, traced the tube on the board I pulled out and cut that out to fit over. On the opposite end I used plumbers hanging tape. Sealed the bay side with silicone and done.
