We have the 30.1 ACE, and have had a great summer/fall camping in it. If you need more sleeping capacity (bunk beds), then the 30.2 looks good. However, you give up all of your kitchen counter to make room in the floorplan for the bunks.
If you're still shopping, go hang out in the layout you're interested in, and pretend you're cooking a meal, using the bathroom, showering, watching TV, etc. It's a good way to figure out if the layout is usable for your intended purpose.
