ACE-Ladder

Finally CW got my ladder installed. As part of original sales criteria sales rep included a ladder along with several other items as part of the sales deal. Then I'm told that the stock ladder that CW carries wont conform to the wood blocking in the ACE. However, no problem as THOR has a ladder sized specifically for the ACE. Sales rep orders (May) and finally arrives (found?) and it is now Aug. Oh well. For anyone else interested the THOR parts # is FM 4767. I've asked CW service rep for copy of the blocking cut sheet as this is what I was told they were waiting on for the install however, I am not yet in possission of that detail. I will share when I get it as I want to mount other items on the interior of the large cargo hold area.

I tried to get a ladder too but got blank stares. CW did not recommend it as they were not sure of the attachment points.
We need it to check the silicone shrinkage, clean the air conditioner intake, and general inspection at least twice a year. They stated that they could do it for me. Here they charge only $120/hr for general maintenance..LOL, yea sure...
I weigh a bit too much and a large portable ladder is possible if you weigh more than 225 lbs. I guess I'll have to park close to a building and climb out a second story on to the roof.

I asked Thor the question about the ladder and got this answer: "The ladder was an option on the unit and the dealer would of had to order it with a ladder. You can call Total Value Rv at 1-866-282-4460 and they can order you a ladder. I hope this helps."

My dealer did not think you could walk on the roof, but Thor says it is OK. Did not know there was an issue with mounting blocks..
