Adding a powered sub to my A.C.E.

I'm thinking about adding a Kicker 11HS8 (powered subwoofer) to the factory system in the old A.C.E.

I won this thing in a raffle, and I actually have a use for it! My question is, when parked, what battery is the dash radio drawing on? The battery under the hood, or the house batteries (2) on the right side? Obviously, I would connect to the same power source as the radio.

I plan to put this thing under the drivers seat, between the seat and the exterior wall. I'm not looking for a concert level system, just something to make the stock system sound a little better when driving, but mostly when parked. The system needs a little bass, and it will be fine without a major overhall.

Your thoughts?

"Sounds" like fun! I'm pretty sure that the dash radio draws its power from the house batteries in the 29.2. My only problem is the darn speakers are so far behind the driver's seat it is hard to hear when driving. You might also want to consider speakers up on the dash somehow.

I thought about this also, would like to turn those off when driving, and have something isolated to the front to seats. Some kind of boxed speaker could be mounted easily just above the front seats on the support where the bed folds down. I just can't find anything that looks nice enough. The white or back Bose cubes are the right size and look really. When driving, I turn the rear speakers off as the kids don't want to hear them, they have their own stuff going on with the TV or headphones.
