The top of the TMC line...and probably, the best price point in that segment (mid to premium grade Diesel Pusher).

There seems to be a segment of the on-line public with sentiment (with or without actual personal experience) that seems to have an issue with Thor, but there are many happy owners.

Best luck

We bought a 2013 Tuscany XTE 40EX (15,000 miles) a month ago and are happy with it. We found it at an RV show at a pretty good price so we bought it.

The cabinets and woodwork could be better, but to get better would have been 50k+ more money. And that didn't work for us.

Ours has very nice features, a nicer paint finish than some 2015 models from other manufacturers and is built upon a Freightliner chassis like all of the others. The cargo doors swing out and the storage underneath is immense.

There are folks who troll the web who's only ambition is to knock products made by Thor, and the reality is that every manufacturer has their share of defects, most of the time these defects are isolated to component failures, which of course Thor has no control over.

FWIW, we traded in an experienced Itasca Suncruiser, the wallpaper was pealing all over and literally falling apart at the seams. And the rig before that was a Fleetwood class A that had some delamination issues. So at least in our experience, there seems to be some sort of problems with any manufacturer.

Overall, with our Tuscany we like the floorplan, the features, the tile, the king sized bed, the full wall slideout, the name brand equipment etc etc etc.

Go take a look at a few of them, the 2015 models are really, really nice. One of these days, we will upgrade our '13 to a 42 or 45 with a tag. Be careful, you may just end up with one in your driveway!

X2 on the above. We are on our 3rd Thor Class A and our current being a Tuscany. All have been good coaches, some small problems but Thor has a great Customer Service Department and they stand solidly behind their product. I think you will find Thor to be a great value and will give you many years of enjoyment. You noticed I did not say trouble free, they will have issues from time to time but no different than any other RV. Service after the sale is important to keeping a smile on your face and as I said Thor gets great marks in the area.

I do not know what you’re past experience with RV's but I will tell you the major weak link in all the industry is the dealerships. They want to sell not do warranty/service work. They have been known to blame their poor shop management on the coach manufacturer, i.e., waiting for warranty approval, waiting on parts for manufacturer, etc! They are not staffed with the best qualified and there is high turnover in many shops. Same goes for their sales staff, not very knowledgeable and high turn over! I had a salesmen once that was waiting tables at Applebee's next door 3 months before, didn't know anything, camped with his parents when he was young If you are able to find a good dealership/service shop treat them like gold. If you are within a reasonable driving distance of Thor Customer Service (Wakarusa, IN) get your work done at Thor. By the way, they work on out of factory warranty RV's as well, all you need is an appointment.

Good luck with your search!
