I have the factory adapter/wire harness on order for the aftermarket brake controller. I have the wiring diagrams from Ford motorhome chassis division. I've been looking for a connector with RED/GREEN/WHITE/BLUE wires. I've even had most of the console off looking for those colors. I feel like an idiot right now because it is evading me. Anyone else self installed an electric brake controller? The GM's were so easy, it took less than 10 min. last time I did one. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Maybe a digital picture pointing it out? Thanks all.

In your other post you said you only have a four wire connector which the MFG may have wired off a "T" connector to bring out brake lights and running lights. If your Ford wiring plans do not show heavy brake wiring leads for brakes in your trailer you may have to run from your controller to 7 pin connector where you now have the four wire or just put in new plug and leave old 4 pin.. Your controller instructions must show how to wire to it from battery or fuse and where to connect the brake leads.

Found these links may help.

Thanks Jim,
I would really appreciate a picture under the dash. All the wiring diagrams and FORD say the connector is there for the brake controller I just can't find it. It may help when I get the Ford harness/adapter to see what the connector looks like. I'm not sure if it's even on the left or right side of the dash. The trailer place gave me an adapter which plugs in nowhere. I believe it is the wrong one, the one for regular F150-350 not the Super Duty chassis. If you can't post the pic here, I can give you my email, just let me know. Thanks.

Thanks 007, I can follow the wiring harness from the 4pin connector on the hitch, a few feet forward there is a "splice" into what I believe is the factory harness. It does have the heavy wires noted in the Ford diagrams for the trailer brakes. Ford motorhome service faxed me the wiring diagrams and a bulletin on installing aftermarket brake controllers today. I should be able to "re-splice" into the factory harness with a new 7pin connector for the trailer. My issue is finding the connector under the dash. The pictures they send are from a F550 pick-up, the dash in the motorhome is very different so the location they point out doesn't seem to exist on my dash. Here's the link Ford gave me. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q119.pdf

Looks like Ford has wire harness but coach MFG should be able to tell you where they extended the wires to up near your dash or where they ended from wiring harness.
The COACH BOX MFG is the one that set up your dash lay out. Have you checked the fire wall for a coil of unconnected wiring my chassis had a coil on right hand side drivers side for extra signal lights and controls.

I found it, I found it, I found it!! My god, they could not have hidden that connector in a worse spot. I had the entire dash disassembled before I found it. It is under the driver's side to the left of the steering column, as far up the top and rear of the dash as possible, but under the plywood where all the vent hoses run. Then it is folded and taped to another wiring harness. I followed the harness from the multi-function & ignition switches. Where they all meet, go up from there. And of course the $100 non returnable pigtail Ford advised me to buy, was not the correct one, the standard Ford pigtail for $20 the trailer place sold me was correct. I'm attempting to upload a picture here of the location in case anyone else runs into this. The connector you are looking for is C210. I purchased a temp subscription from Motorcraft. It has all the wiring and Shop manual specifically for my MH model. It was a lifesaver.
