Aria DEF Tank

I just got a 2018 ARIA 3601. Tried to fill the DEF tank using the pump at a Pilot station. Couldn't get the nozzle in the tank and finally gave up. The inlet is too high in the compartment to get the nozzle inserted. Looking at the setup, using the flex hose from a 2.5 gallon will be a PITA if at all possible.

Has anyone come up with a procedure? Is there some sort of adapter available to fill over the pump nozzle that will allow insertion?

The people who design these things should be required to make sure that the design is workable.

I have been able to fill the tank at a truck stop once, but it was a pain. The flex hoses that come with the 2.5 gallon containers do work ok, but I purchased an offset funnel on Amazon that makes filling with the containers much easier. They are cheaper, at least in our area, than the truck stop DEF.

I put 2 of the hoses that come with the 2.5 gallon containers together and that works great.

I donít have ready access to the RV but Iím wondering if the def tank can be lowered so that I can get the pump nozzle in. Lifting a 2.5 gallon can of def isnít possible as I lost use of the long bicep muscle in my right arm.

Is there any reason why Sandy can't help?

She could but there is absolutely no reason why the filler is mounted so high that you can't get to it. Even getting the filler tube from a container would be very difficult. My Palazzo was a PITA but this is even worse.

It is a design flaw. We have another friend that has an Aria and they have the same issue.

Aria Def Tank

Same issue here on my 2018 3901. This certainly isn't their finest design moment. I havent found a funnel yet that will work. I'll have to try putting some def tank hoses together like KohtangFred.

KohtangFred, if you could expand upon that idea, I'd appreciate it

Def tank

Take two of the hoses that come in the 2.5 Gallon containers and cut the end off of one where it screws on to the container. Put them together and tape them together so it don't come apart. I have been using the same hose for quite awhile. This worked on both my Palazzo and on the Aria 3901. You still have to lift the container above the height of the Def tank, I don't have any ideas to get around that one but this works for me. Sorry the picture is sideways, couldn't figure out how to rotate.
Happy Camping!

I do the same thing with two hoses. The problem I have is the gauge stops at 3/4 full and I overfilled my take the first time. Now I just fill to 3/4 and stop. Plenty of DEF to get down the road for many miles
