Best Wi-fi amp/extender

I am beginning my research to purchase an external Wi-Fi amp/extender. The two advertised the most are Wi-Fi Ranger and Winegard's product. Winegard looks the most appealing for view but so far it appears Ranger outperforms most.

What do you have?

What's your opinion?

Ranger states range of up to 2 miles!

Thanks in advance.

I have the Winguard ConnecT 4G1. So far I am only using the wifi and love it. It picks up more signals than without it. It gives you a secure network.

There is now a less expensive model that they claim is just as good. https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/rev...d-connect-2-0/

They don't sell that one anymore. I like the dome like that better too.

I have used a number of different systems over the years.

The new Winegard looks pretty good - much better than its predecessor. Well priced. Wi-Fi and cellular (unlocked). Dome for avoiding damage.

I currently have a variation on the 'David Bott' system (I have the connectorized bullet exterior radio).

One I like is the Alpha Camp Pro setup. Easy to setup because it uses USB between the exterior and interior radios. Widely available, but I buy from TechnoRV for good tech support.

I've used this one for about 11 years.

I attached the antenna to my crankup antenna and ran the cable through my bathroom vent.

Hmmm, just noticed they don't sell that one anymore but instead offer an upgraded one.

Just to clarify what is the object of this discussion....

Are you talking about an extender to extend your "hot spot" or tethered phone Wi-Fi signal for a longer / stronger signal from your coach (transmitter), or

a receiver that will pickup campground Wi-Fi better and make it stronger inside the coach (receiver)?

Yes.
A receiver that will pickup campground (and miles away Wi-Fi) Wi-Fi better and make it stronger inside the coach.

Like the Ranger product.
