Caulking around outside shower panel

My wife and I recently purchased a 2006 Hurricane 31D and last night I was inspecting the caulking to see if anything needed to be done. I noticed that that bottom of the outside shower panel has no caulking on it at all . The top and sides are fine, but it looks like the factory never bothered to do the bottom. Does anyone know if this is by design (i.e. as a drain or something), or was it just cost cutting? If it's the former, I'll leave it as it is, otherwise, I will fix it.

It was likely done in that way to allow any stray water to drain out the bottom.

Possibly. A Co-worker told me his TT is the same way so I guess I'll leave it. Thanks
