Choices ACE 30.1 vs Fourwinds 31L

We are doing the which is better between these two units. It's the A vs C discussion plus livability for 2 people and a small dog. We like the kitchen a bit better in the 31L but the added living space in the A is also a big plus. As is the heated tank bay. So far we have not seen anything we like better than these two. They are as big as we want to get. What I am looking for is any information about why either one would be a bad choice. I am also curious about how well the ACE works in cold weather. Thanks for any information.

i have slept in my ACE in weather down to about 15 degrees in Idaho Falls for a few nights. Staying at bro-in laws for a weekend. The livingroom seems to be colder than the bedroom. We like it a little colder than warmer tough. Wife loves sleeping in the cold so it's great for us.

After moving to an A class from a C, I could never go back to driving a class c motorhome again.
The added visibility of sitting up with the big rigs is hard to beat.

I get that. I also get that it scares the crap out of a lot of people. If you ever run a group bus trip the seating dynamics are interesting. Some folks want to be up front so they can see and some tucked in where they don't. ;-)

FWIW In this case there is a bit more counter and more kitchen storage in the C. In fact the only sale point is the added front space.

I too test drove C and ACE 30.1 and purchased the used 2014 ACE 30.1 six months ago. Been on a few long weekends here in Florida. ACE turning radius is much better than any C and visibility and driving comfort much better. Exterior storage is a little less but bedroom storage, dash desk, raise the overhead bunk out of the way, all big, big plus's. We like our single round sink for more countertop space. It is my wife and I and our Border Collie and we really enjoy it! Just my 2 cents. But it is what is best for your needs.

Thanks! We need to go drive one. She is slowly coming around to my point about better living space. ;-)

May I ask, did you run the furnace, or using space heaters?
