Considering Tuscany 44MT & MHSRV

2017 Tuscany 44MT w/2 Euro Recliners. We are close to ordering this coach from MHSRV in TX. Anyone out there familiar with either the dealer or this coach? We are coming off our 3rd Airstream and want to full-time in our retirement. ANY opinions/advice would be welcome as we are new to motorcoaches. Thx

Bought our little Thor Hurricane from MHSRV in January this year. Excellent service from the dealership. Salesman was Mitch Bennett. We spend a day looking at different coaches and a half day to arrange the payment. One afternoon and night in the delivery barn. Matt, the delivery tech, spent two hours in the afternoon showing us how everything worked and where the service panels were located. Matt showed up and 9 am the next morning to fix two things that we couldn't get to work properly. We were on the road by 11 am. After 8,000 miles, the two 12 volt receptacles on the center console quit working as did the 120 volt heating unit in the water heater. We were in Austin so I called MHSRV and ask if the could work us in the next day for the electrical problems. (We live 650 miles north). "No problem if you make it by 10 am tomorrow". It took the tech about an hour to find the wire to the water heater that had vibrated loose and the blown fuse in the engine compartment. No charge still under warranty.

Beau 388: Thx for the comments re MHSRV. We are looking forward to finally meeting the people with whom we have corresponded. Your experience is very much what we are looking forward to from a delivery dealer!

we've traded there twice in the last two years - from a 5th wheel to a Georgetown to our Palazzo DP...

-even though you may go there with a certain coach in mind, don't hesitate to look around and compare other makes/models - if you are approved for a loan it should apply to any coach you choose to purchase. This happened to us the last trade - we came for a specific Thor Challenger that we saw online and left with our Palazzo 33.3 DP instead.

-take your time and have them put you up for several nights in their customer service center covered RV site. You'll have full hookups and room to move into your new home, with your current coach parked along side for easy transfer(if you're trading).

-take several trips out on the interstate and local roads to test drive and get used to the new feel... use the generator, microwave, air conditioners, furnace, tvs, water pump, shower, toilet and all systems in order to flush out any issues

- their service techs will take care of ANY issues you have before you leave - make sure you try to find them ALL before then, this is the single best time for any repairs, warranty work, or explanations of how the Levelers, SlideRooms, AGS(auto generator start), Magnum Inverter/Charger, and other systems that you might be 'new to you' works.

enjoy...

We previously owned a Tuscany and loved it! After moving to Texas we had no place to store our DP so we bought a Thor Windsport from MHSRV, couldn't have been happier with the dealer. Great people, friendly, great service department, can't say enough good thing about everyone there!!! Would go back to MHSRV anytime, and it's a pleasure to recommend them!!!

I just got some 'scuttlebutt' from a Thor factory rep that the Tuscany will feature a side radiator in the 2018 model to be introduced early next year. This is a superior system to their current rear radiator placement.

...and hopefully they will add Girard boxed awnings on the roofline, to compete with the Entegra Aspire and the Newmar Dutchstar and the Fleetwood Discovery - Forest River Charleston should do the same...
