Hi to all,
I got a cummins Campaign notice from ThorMotorized Services that said to contact Cummins to have a recalibration of the Engine Control Module (ECM), a measurement of the crankcase blow by pressure, and to replace the exhaust valve guide seals.
This is at no cost to me.
Has anyone had this campaign notice 953 completed by Cummins???
If so, did you notice any difference in the fuel milage, etc.
Alan

Powerboater,
It does not say which model numbers. I have a 425 ISL Cummins in my 2009 Essence. My Brother In Law works at a Cummins Repair Facility and he is going to find out about it tomorrow when he goes to work.

I talked to Cummins today and they will program the ECM, then test blowby pressure. If it is 12 or below, they do not have to replace the exhaust seals. If it is above 12 then they have to be replaced. Have an appointment to have mine done Wednesday. Service department said 2-3 hours.

I had this done last week in El Paso at Rocky Mountain Cummins (these folks are terrific). Takes 2-3 hours and is exactly as stated by Mr. Taylor. I was told I would not notice any difference in performance or fuel mileage.
