Damon & Four Winds Merge

Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International have merged to form a new company called Thor Motorcoach, RV Daily Report has learned. Staff members were told of the decision last Friday when Bill Fenech, president of both companies, outlined plans for the merger.

I wondered about that when we were at The Rally in Louisville last month. Damon & Four Winds were sponsors & they were always acknowledged under one combined logo whenever they were publicly mentioned....like they were joined at the hip or something. Now I know.

Thor has owned Damon longer than I have owned a Damon (5 years)

Yes, I believe Thor Industries purchased Damon around 2003. It was the same year I purchased my first Daybreak. Now they have a class C line up since Four Winds has merged with them. I think this was the plan because 4winds has always been a leader in Class C sales and Damon was building the best class As for the money. I'm looking at the forums and think they need a "Thor Motor Coach" section now that they are the largest manufacturer.
