A friend has a 2006 Mandalay with the sony tv and dvd player. We followed the instructions using a splitter attaching to the "antenna in" then one side of the splitter went to the "ant in" on the switch box, and the other went to "aux". We get the menu up, and scan for channels only to read "no signal". I tried to copy from my system but I have a different vcr/dvd box all I had to do was unhook the cable on the back of the vcr/dvd then just made the loop. His dvd does not have ant cable on it, so I assume we must use the switch box. He is only interested in the front tv working.
Thanks

Humm.. Where did you put the splitter and what kind of splitter did you use.. From the sound of it I think you used a standard splitter and put it in the lead from a multi-switch box such as a "Flex Vision" to the roof top antenna. This simply won't work

You need a "Diplexer" which is a splitter with POWER PASS THROUGH

The common (single) connector goes to the roof
The "Power Pass Through" goes to the ANT-IN on the flex vision box
The non-power pass through goes to the converter

The converter goes to AUX

Make sure the power to the switch box (Left most button usually) is ON

Now: Depending on where you park.. You may have NO signal to process

My wife today ask if we would get channel xx.y (Number not important) and I told her I won't know till I try cause where I"m at (South Carolina Upstate area) it seems that every time I set up I get different results.. Even if it's the exact same camp-site.. One time I'll get, for example, 16, and other times I won't.

One thing that will help you (if your converter has a manual tuning option) is a list of what is what

For example.. Where I'm parked channel 13 (both -1 and -2) actually broadcasts on channel 13 (The old NTSC channel 13) as does 21 (Again both 1 and 2) on 21

But Channel 4 is broadcastion on 46 and 62 is 45

Confusing... Not if you have the chart Here is the link.. I hope

I had the same problem with my 06 Mandalay setup. I first installed the digital box before the TV selector unit and digital box did not work, just showed no channels avaliable. Moved the digital converter to the TV side of the selector unit and everything works fine on the front TV. Good luck!

Thank You for your help. We have exausted our knowledge. We believe that there is a problem in the winguard switch or the antenna. We can not get a signal. I even hooked up my lcd tv direct to the to" tvout" on the switch box, with running a cable from the antenna, to "antenna in" on the switch box, elimating the original cable on the coach. He has an appointment for some other warranty work, so will have it repaired at the dealership. They should have the proper test equipment.

Stern.. if you are near South Caralonia/Georga border on I-85 I can look at it for you

As I said before.. I think it's got to do with where you put the splitter... IF you put a standard splitter between the antenna switch and the antenna.... IT WILL NOT WORK

You need a Diplexer (A splitter which has power pass through on one port)

THe pass through port goes to the switch, the blocked port to the converter and the common to the antenna. That way the switch can provide 12vdc to the pre-amp up in the antenna.

If you are near Detroit Michigan I will be there for Easter

Davision after that

What I did with the one on my Brave was to wire the converter box as if it was a VCR. Here are the instructions I used.
If you have any unused input to your video switch box, such as AUX or VCR you can wire your DTV converter box directly into video switch using the unused connections. This is a more complicated installation as you will need to run coax wires from a compartment where the DTV converter box will be located to the video switch box. Connect the DTV converter box ANTENNA IN jack (sometimes called RF IN) to the "TO AUX" jack; connect the DTV converter box ANTENNA OUT jack (sometimes called RF OUT or TO TV) to the "FROM AUX" jack. Select TV ANT on the video switch "AUX" button Hope this is clear. The info came from Winnnebago.

How much longer are you going to be at the boarder? And exactly where are you staying. I live right there myself is why I ask. Just a few miles off of exit 14 on the SC side. I might need to pick your brain on one of these set ups myself....

We are using a diplixer splitter. I have a lcd tv that is digital that I use outside. I hooked that up to the port where his main tv is connected. The idea was to go thru the winguard switch using the booster. My tv would not get a signal using antenna. My tv worked fine on cable same as his tv.
Using my TV, a digital converter is not needed. I do need the converter for the original Sonys in my coach. My converter goes thru the VCR that has cable ports, but the Sony in the Mandalay does not have cable ports. I will pass the info to him, they will be heading home to Ontario, and will be going thru Detroit. Thanks Again!

Well. I am having a little trouble getting the unit ready and from the dealer. So I will contact you when I have it. Might be a close call though.

I am also considering just doing a swap on some of them, Also doing a Dish Network tripod set up. So... perhaps I can get some email advice once I have it here where I can follow along and describe things. Will probably have it here tomorrow. We ran out of time today or I would have had it home but there was a couple things I wanted to be sure of so I left it there till morning. Will likely have it all done and home by noon I think.
