When the coach is plugged in or genset is running do the overhead ceiling lights get brighter? If so the converter/charger is working. A voltage reading at the aux. batteries of 13.2- 14volts indicates charging. The light on the switch will be on both on bat and converter power also it will light even if in off position when connected to shore power.

Hi, Just found this forum and recently bought a used 2000 Hurricane. I've been wondering the same/similar thing. Coach light is red when connected and the chassis is green. I was wondering if that is correct or if the color indicated whether the batteries were charging or battery power level. I know that my float charge for my jet ski batteries will be red when charging and then green when fully charged.

Tony,
