No, but I believe they were pretty much the same as the Mandalay Presidio that preceded them. Same floor plans, etc.

Hi,
I have just purchased the 2010 40J. Use to be the Mandalay. As you might know,
Thor, Four Winds and Damon, merged around December, 2010.

FYI,
The 2010 40J Monticito comes with the Magnadyne Keyless Entry.
I downloaded the instruction manual from their website. (MKE 300A)

Overall, we like it. Really like our exterior color and our floor plan. The ride is so much nicer than the gas powered Class A we had previously. We have had some minor maintenance issues but most of those are with (or because of) Camping World, not necessarily with Thor Motor Coach.

Yes, it did. However, we only use the remote key fobs and haven't used the key pad itself.

Have you noticed in the bedroom closet, on the shelves, charcoal to black dust or possibly a layer of exhaust dust ?
Everytime we come back from a trip, I wipe off a layer of dirty, dusty something.
I was wondering if this normal, for a diesel pusher. I have heard that there is access to the engine compartment from the bedroom.
Thank you !

We had this problem early on -- in our case, with a bath-and-a-half plan, it was the rear bathroom and closet that got the black dust. In a visit to the Thor factory service center to have some other warranty work done, they took care of this. Not sure exactly what they did, but it had to do with re-sealing all around the engine compartment. Yes, there is an access panel (probably in your closet, but possibly extending into the bedroom), but there may also be other seams and crevices that road dust and/or exhaust could seep through.

Yes, I have a 2011, 40' model. Love the coach but it has been in for service more than on the road! The latest issue is the ignition is dead when trying to start, must use over ride switch to start.... my starting batteries are good but something is wrong. When it is running it is a great coach. Anyone out there have such a problem?
