DVD Player

We have an ACE 27.1 and want to add a DVD player. Can we go to Best Buy, purchase and just plug it in to the TV?

I would think so. as long as the tv has external inputs available, and you have a power source for the DVD player you should be fine.

Hi Jarrett,
My 2013 ACE 29.2 came with a HDMI cable wired to the tv by the attenna booster in the upper cabinet closest to the entry door. It may be placed in another location in the 27.1
Regards,
Ted

Mine is in the same place but does not "appear" to be attached to the TV. We have not purchased the player yet, so I can't test it.

Short answer: YES! In fact depending on the TV you might wish to go with Blue Ray (Thy usually play DVD as well).

Fact: The RV manufacturer may well get his DVD/BLUE ray players from the same place as Best Buy, or for that matter if it is a small model, FROM BEST BUY.. There is nothing special about the RV hardware in most cases

Avoid anything made by Luck Goldstar I have never been lucky enough to have a Goldstar work out of the box. I have manged to get ONE Goldstar device to work but I had to modify it Thankfully within my skill set to do so. ZENITH = Lucky Goldstar (LG).

If your TV has A/V in (Red/yellow/white colored RCA jacks) a DVD is good, If the Tv has HDMI as well (Very thin "D" shaped connector) then DVD or Blue Ray will work.

Thanks all, I just can't figure out where the HDMI connects to the TV. On the side is a USB port and receptors but nothing that will hold the fitting connector.

Well not all TV's have HDMI, but most wide screens should.

What is the make and model of the TV, perahaps I can find it by remote viewing (I will explain when/if I find it). But I need the make and model.
