So after reading numerous items on this forum I've taken the plunge and ordered 3 Dynamat products: Extreme, which is the sound and heat barrier, the 1/2 inch DynaLiner and a roll of their tape. All of this is for the engine dog house (cowl).

So why am I doing this?

The people we bought the RV from live in the country and had it parked under a carport. When we pulled the cowl off this last Saturday to replace the fan belts we found that a few little country mice appear to have made off with the insulation that should have been there.

Lucky for us the little furry friends left everything else alone, including the wiring!

And of course another benefit will be not hearing the engine as much and having less heat in the cab area!!

Now I'm looking for thoughts on the best way to install the Dynamat items. I'm thinking DynaLiner first and then the Extreme product (shiny stuff) so it will be the same layering as if you did the floor from the inside. Thoughts anyone?

Cheers from Central Texas!

Well after 6 hours of striping off the old stuff, cleaning off the 14 year old adhesive and installing the Dynamax products I'm happy to say it's everything they say it is.
