Electric/electronic brake controller

I need to install an electric/electronic brake controller into my Hurricane.
Did anybody of you ever do this? I need some hints and advises how to best go about it! Like taking me by the remote hand and helping me to get the thing installed!

Hudsoner-

Ford provided a connector with under the dash for the controller, and a wire at the rear of the chassis for the output of the controller to the trailer.

Considering the age of your coach, it's possible, but not likely, that Thor extended the Ford-provided trailer electric brake wire to the hitch connector on the coach.

Your job is to:

a) Find the under dash connector
b) Find the wire at the rear of the coach
c) Extend the wire at the rear of the coach to a six- or seven-pin connector (replacing the connector there, if needed)
d) Buy a controller and matching pigtail to connect it to the Ford connector
e) Install the controller and test

Piece o' cake.

A prior owner may have done all or part of this already.

Thanks, sadly enough, the prior owner had the unit for two years only and did not do anything to it. I used to have a trailer with a surge brake, but that needed to be replaced, and I could not find one for a decent price with surge brakes.

I have to tackle it now on my own, with the help of you guys her!
