Electrical outlets not working on shore power

I’m camping on 50a shore power. However, the electrical outlets and fireplace only working with the inverter enabled.

I’ve checked all breakers are ok. Usually the inverter goes into a pass-thru mode. Now only enabled and disabled available.

Any experience with this? What can I look for?

Dont think you have shire power getting to the RV. Check that the breaker is on at the pedustal. Check that shire power is good.

1) Do they work when running generator?
2) Have you checked your GFCI?

Look on the inverter for a push button or switch like breaker. It may be tripped.

Curious as to what the power management shows, amps drawn, voltage and so on.

We have the same coach with mine being a 2016

On the 2019 the Firefly system is the interface with the inverter. On a 2016 I don't know if Firefly was integrated on that coach or not. I would suspect there is a separate inverter control box for that coach. The new Thor customer service section on their web site was very good at supplying me with year specific information on my coach.

Thank you all for the feedback.

1. I believe that I had shore power because the Firefly interface said I did and the heat pumps were running.

2. I found the push button breaker on the Magnum MS2812 inverter/charger tripped. I reset it. The inverter then would engage.

3. I tried the generator AC power and had same result.

3. Inverter Firefly error message was that the transfer switch had a fault or no reading. So I suspect this is an issue with the inverter internal transfer switch.

The next morning I found that the hydraulic pump and generator would not function. Couldn’t retract leveling jacks nor slides. Called Thor customer service emergency technician. He was able to talk me through problem to locate a tripped 100 amp breaker in the outside inverter compartment. This was a Sunday. Glad to get home.

Glad you are home

Let us know what caused the 100 amp breaker to trip when you get it fixed

yep what tripped the 100 amp dc breaker?

your magnum will trip out before the 100 amp would trip.

when was last time you checked torque on ALL a/c lines at the breakers and transfer switch?

May have bumped it while looking for the inverter breaker.

Would low battery voltage cause high amperage draw when a heavy load was engaged? Maybe attempting to move slide when batteries are low? Or would the low batteries just not move the slide?

Yes, the amperage would increase due to the percentage of low voltage however most slide system will not operate unless the voltage is around 12.5
This varies based on the different controllers and many coaches require the engine to be running when using the hydraulic pump or slide motors

Not an expert on this but just my current and past experience
